The PMO plays a pivotal role in providing strategic oversight and coordination across the entire ED3 programme, ensuring robust governance, effective project management, and timely delivery of key milestones.

As part of this dynamic team, you will be instrumental in embedding project disciplines and driving operational excellence across the programme. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact initiative at the heart of the UK’s energy transition.

As a key member of the RIIO-ED3 Project Management Office (PMO), you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our business plan through effective project coordination, governance, and assurance.

You’ll help maintain and update the programme’s milestone plan, risk and governance  reports,  track progress, and support workstream leads in meeting critical deadlines. Your role will involve identifying and managing project risks, developing KPIs, and ensuring robust reporting and communication frameworks are in place.

Working closely with business  leaders and external stakeholders — including Ofgem, industry partners, and internal governance bodies — you’ll contribute to high-level programme activities, from preparing meeting  materials to supporting regulatory assurance processes. This is a great opportunity to be part of a a major regulatory programme which will influence and help shape the future of the UK’s energy networks.

We're looking for a proactive and results-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments. You’ll bring strong project management experience and a confident, collaborative approach to working with diverse teams. Exceptional communication skills — both written and verbal — are essential, as is the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload effectively.

Ideally, you’ll have prior experience in a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) environment and a solid understanding of project governance, controls, and operational excellence. You’ll be comfortable applying process discipline, identifying risks, and supporting continuous improvement. A high level of IT literacy is also important, including familiarity with Microsoft Project, the full Microsoft Office suite, and SAP. Willingness to travel as required.

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
