Department Summary
Our DISH Media Ad Sales team, headquartered in New York City with additional offices in Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles, empowers brands to reach their target audiences seamlessly across the DISH and Sling platforms. Specializing in data-driven addressable and programmatic advertising solutions, this innovative and passionate team excels in navigating the dynamic TV advertising landscape.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical contact for SSP and DSP partners, managing integrations, configurations, testing, and troubleshooting for DOOH and CTV programmatic platforms
- Act as the go-to technical expert for programmatic advertising, providing in-depth guidance on ad tech functionalities, deal execution, and optimization strategies to various internal teams and external clients
- Conduct thorough analysis of programmatic tech and deal performance, identify anomalies, and provide detailed technical recommendations and solutions for issues across DOOH and CTV environments
- Lead technical evaluations of new ad tech products, features, and vendors, assessing their compatibility with existing systems and potential impact on DISH Media's programmatic infrastructure, with a specific focus on DOOH and CTV
- Own and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the programmatic tech stack, including DOOH and CTV-specific processes; develop and deliver technical training to internal teams
- Identify opportunities to streamline operational workflows and instill best practices related to ad tech and troubleshooting, specifically for programmatic DOOH and CTV campaigns
- Continuously monitor programmatic industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, identifying technical opportunities to enhance DISH Media's programmatic infrastructure
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in a related field in programmatic, ad ops (advertising operations), tech ops, publisher campaign management, TV company ad sales, agency or ad tech company
- Experience in a technical programmatic role with deep knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs (e.g., Magnite), DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk), ad servers (e.g., FreeWheel, Google Ad Manager), and unified ad decisioning technologies
Skills and Qualifications:
- DOOH & CTV Specialization: Proven experience with programmatic DOOH and CTV platforms, including DAI (Dynamic Ad Insertion) enablement, integration design, and end-to-end testing
- Technical Troubleshooting & Data Analysis: Advanced ability to build complex technical reports, analyze raw data, and translate technical findings into actionable insights, coupled with expertise in debugging tools (e.g., Fiddler, Charles, Wireshark)
- Ad Tech Protocols: Expert knowledge of digital ad tech communication protocols such as OpenRTB (oRTB), VAST, VPAID, MRAID, and a detailed understanding of various creative formats and their technical specifications
- Communication & Project Management: Exceptional written and verbal technical communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; proven ability to drive technical initiatives and manage cross-functional projects from conception to completion

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
