The Role

About the Opportunity

The Sales Development Representative - Asia and Programmatic is a hybrid role.  The position is two pronged and therefore your day will be spent undertaking two core activities as follows:

  • Qualifying both inbound marketing generated leads and converting those leads into business listings and;
  • Responding to leads that have come from our programmatic outreach.

 

This position is based in the Philippines working closely with our existing APAC sales team and reporting directly to our Regional Director APAC based in Singapore.

As Sales Development Representative - Asia & Programmatic at Flippa, you will:

 

Focus on Inbound Sales by:

Handling assigned leads in a defined geography (Asia). You will work with business owners to help them understand Flippa. You will discover opportunities by qualifying the business and presenting the Flippa solution.

  • Qualifying and calling 50+ inbound marketing generated leads daily
  • Discover legitimacy and readiness to sell for each inbound lead
  • Manage a pipeline of working leads and follow up regularly to maximize lead conversion
  • Immediately respond to all inbound leads.
  • Focus relentlessly on qualifying and driving demand generation leads from business owners
  • Drive and manage qualifying through both audio and video calls with end user 
  • Conduct video calls to demonstrate the Flippa service to qualified end user customers/prospects

Focus on Programmatic Leads by:

You will be responsible for programmatic leads that land in an inbox. These are ambiguous in nature and you must identify the highest quality prospects and aim to get this person on a call.
The leads have come from our programmatic outreach, where a relatively brief pitch on Flippa has been sent to a prospective seller.
It’s primarily an email role and the person would need the following
a) Outstanding email comms capability
b) Demonstrated ability to setup meetings
c) Understanding of the internet economy

You will also be responsible for ensuring that you:

  • Input, update and maintain CRM records on each account and opportunity for assigned area(s).
  • Participate in weekly team meetings (updates/forecasting/ training/ coaching) as well as virtual company-wide meetings, and virtual meetings ad-hoc.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the Flippa platform and online business space
  • Follow-up on all activities
  • Become an advocate for Flippa and help sellers understand why Flippa should be their number one choice for selling their online business.

To be successful, you will have - 

  • Experience working with and selling to small business customers
  • Prior experience working with a team that is being built from the ground up
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Working knowledge of a CRM, Excel and other productivity tools as needed.
  • Prior work experience as a salesperson converting over the phone
  • You are a quick learner who can work effectively in an ever-changing startup environment
  • You are proactive and have excellent time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of comfort talking to customers/buyers of all levels
  • You are an ambitious, motivated, self starter with plenty of energy.
  • BA degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • You are a results-oriented individual who is excited by the prospect of fuelling the continued growth and success of Flippa
  • Detail-orientation with a clear ability to work independently under management/time pressure
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a determination to succeed in a rapidly changing environment

Measures of Success:

  • Qualified Leads Generated: This measures the number of leads the SDR successfully qualifies for the sales team. A high number indicates effective outreach and engagement strategies, ensuring that the leads are a good fit for the company's offerings.
  • Conversion Rate: This metric assesses the percentage of qualified leads that move to the next stage in the sales process, such as scheduling a meeting or demo. A higher conversion rate suggests that the SDR is skilled in building relationships and effectively communicating the value proposition.
  • Activity Metrics: This includes tracking the number of calls made, emails sent, and meetings booked. These metrics help gauge the SDR's productivity and engagement levels, ensuring they are actively working to generate leads and maintain a robust pipeline.
