As a Senior Programmatic Expert, you will be a key programmatic specialist within the team, working closely with client management, planning, data & analytics, and creative teams to develop and deliver programmatic strategies that are aligned with our clients' broader media and business objectives.
You will combine hands-on campaign activation and optimization with strategic thinking, ensuring campaigns deliver strong performance while meeting the highest standards of brand safety, brand suitability and quality.
Beyond campaign management, you will act as a subject-matter expert within the team, helping develop best practices, sharing knowledge, mentoring junior colleagues and staying ahead of the latest developments in programmatic, ad tech, data and measurement.
Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesProgrammatic Activation
- Develop and recommend programmatic strategies and tactics aligned with clients' overall media objectives.
- Plan, set up, manage and optimize programmatic campaigns across multiple DSPs, including The Trade Desk, DV360, Xandr, Amazon DSP, Teads Ads Manager, and other relevant platforms.
- Manage audience targeting, bidding strategies, budgets, pacing and campaign delivery to achieve agreed performance objectives.
- Monitor campaign performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
- Analyse campaign data and translate performance insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Troubleshoot technical, tracking, trafficking and delivery issues, working with relevant technology, ad operations and IT stakeholders when required.
- Ensure campaigns are properly implemented, tracked and delivered according to agreed specifications and timelines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Innovation, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in programmatic buying, ideally with hands-on experience across multiple DSPs.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of major DSPs, particularly DV360 and/or The Trade Desk. Experience with Xandr, Amazon DSP, Teads or other platforms is an advantage.
- Good understanding of ad servers, verification solutions, trafficking workflows and tracking technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data, work with audience segments and translate insights into meaningful optimization actions.
- Good understanding of digital media, including display, video, mobile and omnichannel campaign planning within a broader media strategy.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and operational stakeholders.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and confidently.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or guiding junior colleagues is an advantage.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive, solution-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude, strong sense of ownership and willingness to continuously learn.
- Able to maintain a high level of productivity and quality while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Prior agency or in-house programmatic experience is required; experience in an international or multilingual environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Belgian media market is a plus.
- Fluency in French or Dutch & English is required;
