What will you do as the Family Support Worker (FSW) Program Supervisor?

  •  As the Family Support Worker (FSW) Program Supervisor and a member of the Case Management Leadership Team, you will provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Family Support Worker team. This role is responsible for supervising, coaching, and developing FSW staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services. You will foster strong communication and collaboration with Case Management Program Supervisors to support coordinated care and positive outcomes for children and families. You will oversee team workflows, including scheduling and coverage, monitor service delivery and performance outcomes, and ensure all activities are completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with organizational expectations and trauma-informed practices, including Thompson’s CARE principles. The role includes addressing service delivery barriers, guiding problem-solving, and maintaining consistency in practice across the team. 
  • A typical day includes reviewing service activity and scheduling needs, conducting supervision and coaching sessions, supporting staff with case-related challenges, and ensuring documentation and service standards are met. As part of the Case Management Leadership Team, you will partner closely with peers to align services, ensure continuity of care, and maintain effective cross-team communication. Additional responsibilities may include managing staff schedules and coverage, supporting staff development, participating in leadership and quality review meetings, and responding to urgent family or program needs. 
  • This position is typically community-based or hybrid and requires flexibility to support staff and families, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed, while maintaining standard business hours for supervision, coordination, and administrative responsibilities.

Requirements


Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  •  Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in. 
  • High School or G.E.D required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred.
  • Verified 3 years of work experience as a highly performing individual contributor in a related field.
  • Exposure to leadership/management experiences either through short-term project management, coordination, training, or actual leadership positions
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader. 
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
