36Summary:
Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field
Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
Pediatric experience preferred
Child growth and development education required
CPR - BLS within 60 days of start date
CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date
