About the opportunity

The Office of the Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Education) is seeking a Program Specialist, Curriculum Systems and Process Design to support the Curriculum Quality and Sustainability (CQS) program. Working at the centre of a major enterprise transformation, this role provides specialist expertise in curriculum governance, systems, data and process design to inform the future curriculum management business processes, and technologies. 

You will work closely with Faculty stakeholders, the Academic Registrar teams, ICT/Digital Sydney and program delivery specialists to translate complex curriculum practices into clear, sustainable business requirements that support regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and academic quality.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • lead detailed mapping of end‑to‑end curriculum lifecycle processes across Faculties and central teams

  • translate curriculum governance, policy and operational practice into functional and technical system and process requirements

  • provide expert advice on curriculum systems, data dependencies and integration points across enterprise platforms

  • support procurement documentation, requirements schedules and vendor engagement activities

  • collaborate with academic and professional stakeholders to validate requirements and process designs

  • identify and escalate risks, gaps and dependencies impacting system design or implementation readiness.

About you

  • extensive experience in curriculum governance, administration and systems within the University of Sydney, with a strong understanding of its policies, governance frameworks and operational environment

  • advanced capability in business process mapping, requirements analysis and future‑state process design

  • deep working knowledge of university curriculum and student systems such as SITS Tribal Client, Sydney Student/eVision, Akari and ServiceNow

  • strong understanding of curriculum data structures, governance frameworks and regulatory obligations

  • demonstrated experience supporting enterprise system procurement and implementation planning

  • postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of training and extensive experience.
