Electric Boat is currently experiencing a generational increase in shipbuilding volume and is working to establish a foundation, strategy and infrastructure to support that growth through an Integrated Enterprise Plan.
The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office is being established to provide the governance structure to manage the Enterprise Plan. The objective of the EMPO is to enable better decision making and resource allocation, improve program integration, and drive achievements of strategic goals.
Successful candidates will be the change agents that enable the transformation of the enterprise too high-rate submarine production through communication, relationships and integration. This candidate will need to operate with minimal supervision and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position is well suited for someone who has shipyard and project management experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage enterprise initiatives across multiple organizations
- Execute project management for complex projects
- Support governance, workflows, and portfolio controls
- Integrate project plans and schedules
- Manage risk and mitigation actions
- Prepare senior-level reporting
- Facilitate cross-functional communication
- Support and coordinate improvement initiatives, including organizing and facilitating improvement events
- Support shop capacity planning and spatial planning
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher OR 4+ years of supervisor experience
- 5+ years of experience in project/program management, Operations, Construction support, Engineering, or Planning
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Engineering
- Portfolio management experience
- Experience with project management tools
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification
- PMP certification
- Familiarity with Electric Boat business systems and construction processes
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
