About the Team

This role supports the Treasury team within U.S. Bank’s finance organization. The Treasury Technology team develops, supports, and modernizes the technology solutions that enable U.S. Bank's Treasury organization to manage capital, liquidity, funding, investments, interest rate risk, and regulatory reporting. Partnering closely with business and risk stakeholders, the team delivers innovative, secure, and reliable platforms, data solutions, and operational capabilities that support critical financial decision-making and the bank's strategic objectives.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives that drive strategic business outcomes across our organization. This role will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-impact programs while ensuring alignment to organizational priorities, governance standards, and Agile delivery practices.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at managing multiple dependencies, and can effectively translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans. You will play a critical role in driving execution, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring successful delivery of complex technology programs across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead complex Treasury Technology programs from initiation through implementation and post-delivery stabilization across products, platforms, and delivery teams.

  • Define program objectives, success metrics, roadmaps, milestones, financial plans, governance routines, and executive reporting aligned to business and technology priorities.

  • Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, issues, blockers, and delivery impediments to maintain momentum and achieve committed outcomes.

  • Coordinate engineering, product, architecture, risk, operations, and business partners to ensure work is properly sequenced, tracked, and delivered.

  • Maintain program documentation, decision records, delivery artifacts, and communications that support transparency, accountability, and effective execution.

  • Ensure program delivery aligns with enterprise standards, regulatory commitments, technology investments, and Treasury business priorities.

Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement

  • Coach delivery teams, leaders, product owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, Lean practices, DevSecOps ways of working, and continuous improvement.

  • Promote outcome-based delivery, team accountability, data-driven decision making, and product-centric operating practices.

  • Identify and implement improvements that strengthen team effectiveness, collaboration, planning discipline, and organizational agility.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between Treasury business partners, technology leaders, and delivery teams.

  • Translate complex technical work into clear, business-focused communications, program updates, recommendations, and decision materials for senior audiences.

  • Drive alignment across technology, finance, risk, operations, architecture, and business stakeholders to support timely decisions and effective execution.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership to proactively resolve risks, dependencies, and blockers.

Technology Delivery & Governance

  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and modern Treasury Technology solutions.

  • Monitor program health through delivery metrics, performance indicators, financial tracking, operational KPIs, and qualitative delivery insights.

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, risk management, cybersecurity, compliance, audit, and regulatory expectations.

  • Drive modernization, cloud adoption, automation, data platform enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives that advance Treasury Technology capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 7 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading enterprise technology programs in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery environments with measurable improvements in predictability, transparency, and business outcomes.

  • Proven ability to coach delivery teams, product owners, and stakeholders on Agile practices, continuous improvement, and outcome-based delivery.

  • Strong program management discipline, including roadmap planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, executive reporting, and delivery governance across complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience supporting Treasury, Finance, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, banking technology, or core financial services platforms.

  • Experience managing technology financials, budgets, forecasts, and capitalizable investments to support accountable program delivery.

  • Ability to translate complex technical work into clear business impacts, recommendations, and executive-level communications that enable timely decisions.

  • Experience partnering with engineering, architecture, product, operations, risk, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.

  • Demonstrated success driving modernization, cloud migration, automation, data, analytics, platform transformation, or operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills with a track record of simplifying processes and improving delivery performance.

  • Proficiency with enterprise delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Clarity, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and Agile planning tools.

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Certified Scrum Professional, Certified Agile Coach, Lean Portfolio Management, or similar credentials.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
