About the role :

We are hiring a Program Officer to support the implementation of our Schools Program in 3 districts( Bidar, Raichur, Bagalkot) of Karnataka , Raichur being the base location . This role will focus on effective program delivery, mentoring master trainers and teachers, facilitating student-led innovation events like Ideathons and Hackathons, and managing district-level stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will bring experience in teaching, strong training and communication skills, and a deep understanding of working with government systems and education programs.

 

Key Responsibilities


1. Hands-on with the Sector/Module Content and Learning Outcomes


·         Develop a strong understanding of the Schools Program, sector/module content, Ideathon and Hackathon process, chatbot milestones, and expected learning outcomes for students, Master Trainers, and teachers.

·         Support Master Trainers and teachers in understanding and implementing the content effectively with 8th-10th grade students across KREIS schools in Bidar, Raichur, and Bagalkot districts.

·         Play the role of mentor and supporter to Master Trainers and teachers in the planning and execution of Ideathon and Hackathon activities.

·         Guide Master Trainers and teachers to support students in identifying problem statements, developing solutions, and building prototypes.

·         Ensure chatbot content, milestones, and learning activities are understood and implemented correctly by Master Trainers and teachers.

·         Identify best practices, learning gaps, and field-level challenges related to content delivery and share them with the program team for improvement.

·         Facilitate the process of recognition at the district level and support the identification of strong student and teacher-led practices.

 

2. Timely and Effective Delivery of Sessions


·         Ensure effective program delivery of the Master Trainer cascade model with targeted Master Trainers and teachers across Bidar, Raichur, and Bagalkot districts.

·         Coordinate with the Program Coordinator, Learning Experience Officer, and Master Trainers to plan and execute cascade trainings at block and district levels.

·         Be present and actively support in-person trainings at block and district levels.

·         Support Master Trainers to plan, design, and deliver training sessions effectively.

·         Organize and co-facilitate school-level Hackathons to engage students in innovation-based learning.

·         Ensure Master Trainers and teachers conduct Ideathon and Hackathon sessions as per the agreed timelines and program plan.

Organize share-out events at the district level for teachers and students to showcase their work.

Conduct regular phone calls and school visits to observe classroom engagement and provide on-ground support to Master Trainers and teachers.

·         Organize and facilitate bi-monthly catch-up calls with Master Trainers to track post-training engagement, achievements, and challenges.

 

3. Relationship Management - Students and Internal Team


·         Build and maintain strong working relationships with students, Master Trainers, teachers, school heads, and internal program team members.

·         Act as the focal point for Master Trainers, teachers, and school heads in assigned schools across Bidar, Raichur, and Bagalkot districts and keep them informed about program progress, timelines, and expectations.

·         Work closely with the internal program team to ensure smooth coordination, planning, and implementation across all three districts.

·         Participate in internal meetings, reviews, and planning discussions related to program delivery and field implementation.

·         Design and facilitate the CoP and WhatsApp engagement plan to nudge, clarify questions, and share reflections on Ideathon and Hackathon content and process with Master Trainers and teachers.

·         Facilitate and document quarterly Master Trainer catch-ups with the District and DIET Department to update them on field-level progress, shifts, and impact.

·         Support positive student engagement by ensuring teachers and Master Trainers are able to guide students effectively through the learning process.

 

4. Team Management


·         Manage and support the field team involved in Schools Program implementation across Bidar, Raichur, and Bagalkot districts.

·         Coordinate with team members to ensure clear work planning, timely follow-ups, and completion of district-level deliverables.

·         Provide regular guidance, mentoring, and problem-solving support to team members for effective implementation.

·         Conduct regular team check-ins to review progress, challenges, field observations, and support required.

·         Ensure team members follow agreed systems, reporting timelines, documentation processes, and program quality expectations.

·         Support team learning, collaboration, and reflection to strengthen implementation quality across the assigned districts.

 

5. Reporting


·         Support the M&E team in implementing monitoring tools as per the project framework.

·         Maintain accurate data and documentation related to cascade trainings, school visits, meetings, student engagement, teacher engagement, Master Trainer progress, and program activities.

·         Compile field-level reports and data as per the reporting framework and timelines.

·         Regularly check dashboard data to ensure it is updated, accurate, and error-free.

·         Maintain data related to Master Trainers, teachers, student engagement, chatbot completion, and milestone progress.

·         Ensure M&E adherence, data quality, and timely reporting across all assigned schools and districts.

·         Report dashboard issues, chatbot glitches, and technical challenges related to content or data, and follow up with the Ed-Tech team for resolution.

·         Provide regular written and verbal updates tracking progress against the work plan and implementation schedules.

·         Support documentation of trainings, meetings, school visits, events, Hackathons, share-out events, and district-level reviews.

·         Document and share best practices from schools for monthly and quarterly reports.

·         Support coordination of baseline, endline, and other assessments as required.

·         Document plans for follow-up with selected learners for deeper intervention and support their transition into higher education.

·         Be available for regular line management meetings and appraisal processes.

 

6. Adherence to Systems and Processes


·         Ensure adherence to organizational systems, processes, timelines, and reporting protocols.

·         Follow all finance, HR, travel, procurement, and operational policies of Quest Alliance.

·         Ensure people and financial policies and procedures are followed during program implementation.

·         Participate in team meetings, reviews, and staff engagement activities.

·         Maintain proper documentation for trainings, events, travel, field visits, and other program activities.

·         Uphold the values and professional standards of Quest Alliance while working with schools, government stakeholders, students, teachers, and internal teams.

 

7. Learning & Growth Goals


·         Identify individual development needs based on role requirements, review feedback, 360-degree feedback, and personal growth goals.

·         Create a clear self-learning and development goal for the year.

·         Take ownership of tracking progress against learning goals.

·         Complete agreed self-learning goals within the planned timeline.

·         Actively seek support, mentoring, and feedback from the reporting manager, program team, and relevant internal stakeholders.

·         Apply new learning to improve program delivery, stakeholder engagement, reporting quality, team management, and field implementation.

 

Required Skills and Experience:


·         2-3 years’ experience in teaching, mentoring, or education program delivery

·         Proven experience working with government stakeholders

·         Strong skills in training delivery, communication, and report writing

·         Willingness to travel frequently within districts

·         Fluency in Kannada (spoken and written)

·         Brownie Points: Prior exposure to or interest in STEM mindset, computational thinking or critical thinking approaches in education

 

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 37,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
