Program Manager/Scrum Master, Video Platform Engineering

This role is within Chamberlain Group's Video Platform Engineering Group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Support the Development and Ongoing Maintenance of assigned new and existing products across Chamberlain's growing portfolio of video enabled products through coordination of a globally distributed team across software and hardware disciplines functioning as a Scrum Master as needed for tactical execution. (ii) Act as Team Lead/Program Manager for assigned programs, build team of cross-functional members, conduct meetings, establish deliverables and accountability, communicate progress and results regularly through verbal and written updates while ensuring all critical elements of the program are on target to meet objectives.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead one or more platform and/or hybrid (HW/SW) programs independently, lead globally distributed teams.
  • Act as Team Lead for assigned Programs, building a team of cross-functional members, conducting meetings, establishing deliverables and accountability, communicating progress and results to all interested parties and ensuring that all critical elements of the program are on target to meet objectives.
  • Act as Scrum Manager for software aspects of the integrated programs.
  • Provide leadership on measures, impact assessment, resolution of roadblocks, conflicts and change of scope decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level communication and presentations regarding project reviews, assessments, New Product reviews to a variety of audiences.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports to analyze critical performance metrics of video platforms, including live stream success and battery life assessments; collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team to standardize certain reports into ongoing reporting tools, supporting continuous improvement and product development processes.
  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements in back-end processes, including firmware updates and product configuration tools. Utilize insights to streamline development workflows, increasing efficiency and accelerating product delivery timelines.
  • Ensure New Product Development and business process compliance for programs.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years in Program Management, Engineering, or in a Scrum Master role
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to understand business and technical objectives
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to lead and run stakeholder meetings, keep meeting notes, manage ToDo's
  • Fluent in all MS office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project) and agile tools such as Jira, Confluence.
  • Comfortable with multiple simultaneous communications methods (Email, Slack, Teams, Video Calls)
  • Comfortable working with data, familiarity with data tools.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead through influence in Matrix and Agile software development environment
  • Understand and have experience with Agile Scrum methodologies or other commonly used tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25% - domestically and internationally


Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with hardware and software offerings
  • Comfortable interacting with highly technical development teams
  • Knowledge of SQL.
