Position: Program Manager

Location:   Cameron Park, CA
Status:   Full Time
Hours:   Monday - Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, flexible as needed

General Description: Responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of assigned aerospace and defense items within a given program(s) from contract award through closeout, in accordance with internal and customer requirements. Owns schedule, performance, cost, and risk, ensuring on-time delivery and conformance to quality targets across new and recurring production. Serves as the primary customer interface, managing communications, program reviews, and contractual commitments. Coordinates cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Control to meet program objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage assigned program’s deliverables to meet schedule, cost, and quality commitments, maintaining the integrated master schedule and program cost baseline
  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact for assigned programs, leading program reviews, status reporting, and resolution of contractual and technical issues
  • Maintain program documentation, including contract records, change orders, and deliverable data items, ensuring traceability for internal and external customers
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and matrixed program teams spanning Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain
  • Identify, quantify, and mitigate program risks and opportunities; escalate to the Director of Programs as appropriate
  • Drive new product introduction (NPI) activities, including production readiness, first article inspection (FAI / AS9102), and transition to recurring production
  • Ensure program compliance with AS9100D, ITAR, and DFARS requirements, including proper flow-down of customer and regulatory requirements to suppliers
  • Manage DPAS-rated orders and priority allocations in accordance with delivery requirements
  • Support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for nonconformances, escapes, and customer issues affecting program delivery
  • Coordinate and manage assigned program resources across the matrix organization

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of program or project management experience in an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of AS9100D quality management systems and aerospace/defense program lifecycle requirements
  • Familiarity with ITAR, DFARS, and DPAS-rated order requirements and customer flow-downs
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
  • Time management skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with scheduling and cost management tools and ERP/MRP systems
  • Demonstrated risk management, cost control, and cross-functional leadership skills

Skills Required
