The Chief of Staff (COS) supports the executive leader of Intelligent Sensing Group (ISG). ISG develops high‑performance, image sensing technologies that enhance human safety and productivity for Automotive ADAS, Industrial Robotics and Automation, and Aerospace & Defense applications.
This is a highly strategic, facilitative role that enables the ISG leader to operate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The COS combines focus and flexibility: requirements will vary as the team executes its mission, and success will depend on strong leadership, program management, operational rigor, and the ability to drive alignment across organizations. The ideal candidate brings cross-functional experience (e.g., leadership, program management, marketing, operations, and metrics), a hands-on approach, and the maturity to keep the ISG perspective top of mind. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and technology is a plus.
Key Functions
- Operational leadership: coordinate and drive key processes; manage staff meeting rhythms and agendas; understand content and issues; and proactively provide recommendations and solutions to the GM of ISG.
- Strategy coordination: lead the strategy planning process, drive content creation, provide program management rigor, and help shape the division’s strategy.
- Executive representation: represent and speak on behalf of the VP of ISG in meetings as needed; prepare materials for meetings; and drive program execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual ISG strategic cycle
- Lead application of business and artificial intelligence
- Lead engagement with corporate support teams
- Engage with and drive initiatives with divisional business and engineering leads
- Support divisional M&A activities
- Lead staff meetings and assume responsibility for strategic and cross-functional projects or initiatives
- Prepare, co-ordinate, and run monthly and quarterly business reviews for ISG
- Plan and coordinate employee and leadership communication
- Define and maintain an operating model, including KPI’s
- Coordinate communication cadence and channels for leadership team into the organization
- Act as a sounding board to senior leadership on matters of strategy, team efficiency, and operations
- Execute on strategic projects, both internal and to the broader organization
- Work with support functions, such as Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal to drive success of initiatives
- Interact and co-ordinate with other divisional, and business group level COS
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, Master’s Degree preferred, MBA Helpful
- 6+ years’ work experience in either Operations, Marketing, Strategy, Commercial or Project Management
- 6+ years’ experience in Strategic Marketing, Product line or Business unit management

- Strong knowledge of the semiconductor industry including an understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Superior organizational skills and project/time management abilities, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytics and communications skills required, including the ability to present at an Executive level or to large groups.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire others to achieve a common objective and drive cross-functional teams
- Strong Analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of information from multiple sources to draw conclusions
- Excellent PowerPoint, Excel skills apart from overall knowledge of financial/operational systems

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $151,455.00 to $272,550.00 Range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
