As a Program Manager for cognitive applications development, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end to end delivery of our application development projects, from development to lifecycle management (LCM).
You will collaborate with multi-functional teams, including product owners, software engineers, architects, domain specialists, and stakeholders to ensure the development program is delivered on time and with quality, while adhering to quality standards and best practices
What you will do:
- Manage end-to-end software development projects, from release planning to LCM, create full visibility of program execution status, including both functional and non-functional requirements execution
- Identify, manage and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively mitigate impediments for the DevOps teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Define project scope, time plan and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensure they align with the overall business objectives.
- Ensure program WoW and processes are followed by the DevOps teams and evolved the ways of working over time
- Challenge and support the teams on key concepts, both technical and ways of working, to effectively support the teams in making decisions that impact the scope and timeline of the program execution.
- Coordinate and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between multi-functional teams, ensuring everyone is clear on project objectives, timelines, and dependencies.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and prepare comprehensive project reports highlighting key achievements, risks, and accomplishments.
- Ensure alignment to project management methodologies, industry best practices, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to support first-time implementations, including scoping and estimating project efforts, and providing technical expertise.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment, providing guidance, support, and coaching to project team members.
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project/Program Manager in the software development industry, leading remote teams. Experience in software as a service application development will be a merit.
- Proven experience in vendor and supplier management in the context of software development outsourcing
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their application in software development projects.
- Proven understanding of different DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and SRE practices (e.g., monitoring, incident response, capacity planning).
- Proficient in project management tools and software, namely JIRA and Confluence, for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale software development projects, including experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience in vendor and supplier management in the context of software development outsourcing
- Fluent English is a must, written and spoken
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Adaptability to guarantee software quality and delivery on-time
- Experience in the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
