BlueCat is seeking a Software Program Manager to be responsible for planning, managing and governing deliverables from the Tech Team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, who has the personality to rally support from all our different internal stakeholders.
The Program Manager will coordinate and facilitate the activities necessary to prepare internal and external stakeholders to receive Software Product Releases and assure that all deliverables/criteria for releases have been met.
The Program Manager is a critical role, responsible for minimizing risks of the release and contributing to the definition of the criteria for release.
Responsibilities:
•Manage and facilitate the operation of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process throughout the release cycle
•Participate and coordinate release plans with Product Management & Engineering teams
•Track progress and status of the release, including progress on backlog refinement, development, quality assurance, and documentation
•Work closely with the Program Management team to align schedules and dependencies across the product portfolio
•Communicate release status to primary stakeholders, including risk management and impact assessment of changes to scope or effort
•Ensure that deployment/distribution plans are followed
•Coordinate with Product Management, Customer Care, and Marketing, on internal and external communication
•Provide final sign off that the release has met all criteria
•Lead release retrospectives to improve the release process, program productivity and product quality
•Cross-team coordination and management of activities is a key aspect of the role, where Product Management, Build Engineering, Quality, Development, Customer Care, Marketing, and Sales Operations, are all key stakeholders
•Active involvement in coordinating and ensuring assignment and ownership of critical product elements such as internationalization, internal training, escrow provisions, and quality/compliance standard assessments
•Contribute to the ongoing development of the PLM process
Skills and Experiences Required:
•1-3 years' experience managing software related projects & releases
•Strong knowledge of Jira, Excel, PowerPoint
•Familiarity with Agile software development is an asset
•Agile certifications is an asset
•University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a background in development is an asset
•PMP Certification is an asset
•Understanding of SaaS and Microservices is an asset
•Experience or knowledge in computer networking, DNS, or IPAM is an asset
