The Opportunity
As the Program Manager you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing resources and processes to ensure successful delivery of projects and programs within defined scope, timelines, quality standards, and budget. The role focuses on IT delivery, supporting the Digital Manufacturing Team by leading planning and execution of technical initiatives across a portfolio of platforms-Engineering Information Management, Historian, Automation Support Systems, Robotics, and Energy Management-deployed at 25+ manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for managing global IT projects or processes, guiding junior professionals, and solving complex problems to support Takeda's mission.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Execution
- Lead complex technical programs across 25+ Takeda manufacturing sites, covering platforms like Engineering Information Management, Historian, Automation Support Systems, Robotics, and Energy Management.
- Define project strategies-goals, scope, timelines, and resources-aligned with organizational standards and strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance
- Partner with the Business Lead for Process Technology and Automation on product/technical aspects while managing execution via hybrid waterfall/agile methods.
- Represent the team in Steering Committees and act as SPOC for product owners, release managers, and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product/platform owners and Technology Business Partners to deliver strategic tech services.
- Project Planning & Control
- Maintain project plans, timelines, and dependencies using Jira and Confluence.
- Establish governance, reporting, and communication structures for transparency and accountability.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with Takeda's Portfolio and Purchasing standards (e.g., CAR, SPOT).
- Execution & Deployment
- Lead timely and efficient site deployments.
- Manage GxP and SOX-compliant change control processes.
- Coordinate across workstreams to align with governance and regulatory requirements.
- Communication & Reporting
- Report accomplishments to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Create communication materials and use platforms like SharePoint and Yammer to showcase team value and progress.
- Deliver executive-level updates on milestones, risks, and achievements.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
- Drive knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct project reviews and implement process enhancements for operational excellence.
Skills & Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Automation, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in project and program management, with a strong focus on leading technology/software implementations, upgrades and transformations.
- Proven track record in delivering complex IT projects end-to-end, with a structured approach under pressure.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various organizational levels.
- Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and financial aspects.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change with a high degree of adaptability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 level)
- Effective communicator in multidisciplinary and international settings, skilled in conflict resolution
- Self-driven with a mindset for continuous learning and improvement
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or automation projects is a plus
- Experience in Process Industry: Preferred for understanding industry nuances.

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is €3800 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
