Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Program Manager to join our Iron Mountain Government Solutions team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the end-to-end execution of vital public-sector programs, partnering directly with government agency clients to protect and transform their critical information assets. Here, your project leadership and cross-functional coordination will ensure complex initiatives are completed on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with government standards. You will play a key part in aligning Sales, IT, and Operations teams to solve operational challenges and drive meaningful outcomes for public agencies.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead Program Execution: Drive cross-functional program delivery from initiation through completion, establishing timelines, success metrics, and resource allocations while managing program budgets.
- Partner with Client Stakeholders: Engage directly with agency clients to align program outcomes with specific public-sector missions and contractual obligations.
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration: Guide project teams across Operations, IT, and Sales without relying on direct authority, building trust and shared accountability.
- Optimize Workflows & Mitigate Risk: Apply Agile and continuous-improvement frameworks to streamline program workflows, proactively identify delivery risks, and enhance service efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing technical or operations-focused programs, supporting Federal, State, Local, or Higher Education agency clients.
- Strong knowledge of record management systems, asset lifecycle management, or secure document digitization processes.
- Proven ability in cross-functional team leadership, budget tracking, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent practical experience); PMP certification is preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust security clearance.
- Hybrid schedule: ability to commute to Jessup, MD location three times a week.
