Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Program Manager position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.
The ideal candidate will provide overall leadership, management, and accountability for contract execution. The PM is responsible for ensuring the successful cost, schedule, and performance of the contract while serving as the primary interface between the Government and Contractor organizations.
This role oversees technical, operational, and administrative aspects of program execution, ensuring contractual requirements are met efficiently and effectively in compliance with DIA, DoD, and Intelligence Community standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Manager will:
- Maintain overall responsibility for contract cost, schedule, and performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Government Program Manager, Contractor senior management
- Direct and manage program execution across multiple functional areas, including Cost management and cost avoidance, Schedule estimation, tracking, and control, Contract performance management, Risk management, Requirements analysis, Quality assurance activities
- Ensure all tasks and deliverables are executed efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with contract requirements
- Lead and direct skilled technical and functional resources supporting the program
- Monitor technical progress, identify issues and risks, and implement corrective actions
- Prepare, review, and deliver program status reports, briefings, and technical documentation
- Communicate program status, risks, and performance metrics to government and contractor leadership
- Support audits, reviews, and government oversight activities
- Promote continuous improvement, process optimization, and best practices
Skills and Experience
The Program Manager must have:
- Active TS/SCI
- 10+ years of progressive experience managing Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs, contracts, or large-scale technical projects
- 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and managing program cost, schedule, and performance
- Proven experience managing DoD or Intelligence Community contracts
- Demonstrated success managing cost, schedule, and performance on complex programs
- Strong understanding of Government contracting and acquisition processes, Program and project management principles, Risk management and quality assurance practices
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams
- Ability to direct and coordinate technical resources while maintaining accountability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level engagement
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical and program documentation
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-compliance, mission-critical environment
- Experience supporting DIA or Intelligence Community missions
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery models
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Education and Certifications
The Program Manager must meet the following:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Program or Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Scrum-Master (CSM)
- or equivalent project/program management training or certification

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
