About the Opportunity
Help lead the facilities and infrastructure buildout behind one of the Air Force's most significant fighter-training relocations in a decade. As Program Manager, you'll keep planning, design, and construction efforts on track and on schedule as a major training mission stands up its permanent home, giving you direct, visible ownership of a program leadership is watching closely.
About the Program
Joint Base Langley-Eustis became the permanent home of the F-22 Raptor's Formal Training Unit after the Air Force relocated the mission from Tyndall Air Force Base following Hurricane Michael's 2018 damage there. Standing up the training unit at its new home has required new, purpose-built facilities, including a consolidated operations and maintenance hangar, a low-observable component repair facility, and a training support squadron facility, all coordinated by the 633d Civil Engineer Squadron in partnership with the 1st Fighter Wing. This role sits inside that effort, keeping the planning and construction program for the training unit's beddown organized and on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate with 633d Civil Engineer Squadron project managers to integrate engineering planning, programming, and execution across all beddown projects
- Align project requirements between end users, the 633d Contracting Squadron, and Project Integration Office leadership to keep construction and renovation work moving
- Track the planning, programming, and implementation status of every project in the beddown program
- Develop draft planning documents and cost estimates using government-provided data and methodologies
- Build and maintain project schedules (e.g., Gantt charts) for government review and approval
- Provide weekly input to the program's Weekly Activity Report
- Stay current on and follow the Air Force's 32-series Civil Engineer instructions governing this work
