Position Summary:

The Program Manager will align with an area of the business to facilitate the definition, drive execution and ensure value the capture of strategic project work. Responsible for the leadership and direction of complex programs which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. Manages programs which have a variety of components to achieve long-term strategic initiatives that evolve over time. High level of organizational communication up and across the business.

What you will do:

  • Supports business partners in defining and planning strategies and projects while continually assessing program health and updates program roadmap and ensure program results are delivered successfully and benefits are while building team performance to ensure project efficiency, facilitate cooperation.

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating and leading a series of related and possibly interdependent initiatives, projects and subprograms that meet an overarching set of organizational benefits.

  • Directs large-scale, complex programs often involving multiple internal and external teams and team members.

  • Serve as a liaison and build bridges among all stakeholders. Translate objectives across the business into program objectives and practices. Drives collaboration with program and project team members to resolve conflict.

  • Defines and manages program scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters.

  • Manages the overall program budget.

  • Accountable for program communication; providing status, clarifying concerns and highlighting issues, as well as regularly briefing key stakeholders on all aspects of assigned initiatives.

  • Closely manages program-level risk and creates mitigation plans to eliminate / minimize impact and may be responsible for indirectly managing program resources. Inclusive of creating and maintaining appropriate program documentation (road-map, benefits, etc.) to meet business goals and program initiatives.

  • Contributes to establishing best practices for the transformation team.

  • Facilitates and participates in the development of key organizational strategies through benefit realization.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

When you will work

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

  • Hybrid schedule, 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI with 1 day remote

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field is required.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

  • Seven to ten years of business experience with five previous years of project management experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.

  • Strategic thinker, proven ability to identify opportunity and create business case to sell it

  • Change agent, proven ability to guide organization through significant change

  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity

  • Strong influencing skills 

  • Sound business and technical acumen 

  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure 

  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally 

  • Strong presentation / facilitation skills 

  • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives 

  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex programs

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills 

  • Exemplary core project management skills

  • Ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.
