Responsible for developing and executing against cost containment and performance improvement opportunities for goods and services utilized across Sutter Health. With expertise in purchasing strategies, this position is responsible for defining and implementing a clear strategy to optimize the total cost of ownership, including sourcing of products and services as well as product, service, and/or vendor standardization. Collaborates and influences a team of contracting, value analysis, and analytic resources to drive impact for the assigned segments of spend. Interfaces with a variety of high-level clinical and Sutter Health leadership, as well as external resources from the vendor community.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration or related field.

Experience facilitating collaboration between clinicians, supply chain, and other stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and value capture.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to balance business objectives and stakeholder interests to achieve optimal results.
Demonstrated track record of project management skills within a customer service-oriented environment.
Effective written and oral communication, ability to manage timelines, and organizational skills.
Ability to write formal position papers that will be forwarded to members of Sutter leadership for contract approvals.
Demonstrated experience proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with senior-level decision-makers, including physician and C-suite leaders, clinical staff, and vendors.
Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.

Pay Range is $117,436.80 to $176,155.20 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
