The Role

Alpega Group is looking for a Program Manager – Strategic Initiatives. This role ensures cross‑functional alignment and execution of high‑impact company initiatives, turning strategic priorities into measurable results across Alpega. The role can be based in Barcelona, Spain, or Vienna, Austria

As a Program Manager at Alpega, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that cut across business units, requiring you to influence without direct authority, navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, and bring structure to ambiguity. You’ll balance strategic foresight with pragmatic execution to drive scalable, real-world impact and will work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, product, sales teams, customer success, finance, and IT to ensure alignment, execution, and delivery of high-impact programs that support the company’s growth and transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder programs - balancing strategic intent with hands-on execution and operational pragmatism.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive sponsors and cross-functional teams to define program objectives, success metrics, and governance structures.
  • Strategic Planning: Translate business strategy into actionable program roadmaps, ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities.
  • Execution Excellence: Drive program execution through effective project management practices, risk mitigation, and resource coordination.
  • Change Management: Lead teams through change with empathy and positivity, fostering engagement and adoption across varying functional groups
  • Communication & Transparency: Proactively manage communication at all levels — from detailed progress reports to executive narratives — ensuring clarity and confidence in delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify friction points, propose pragmatic solutions, and champion incremental improvements that optimize how programs are run

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU

  • At least 5 years of experience or proven ability in program or project management within a SaaS or tech-driven business.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, internal operations, and cross-functional dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a pragmatic and solution-driven mindset.
  • Certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) are a plus but not required — a strong track record of getting things done is what matters most.
