What we’re looking for: 

Nexamp is seeking a Program Manager, Planning & Scheduling to lead schedule integrity, visibility, and process consistency across a portfolio of solar projects. This role is responsible for maintaining strong project workflows, improving cross-functional coordination, and helping teams deliver projects efficiently from development through final completion.

This is a great opportunity for someone who combines strong scheduling expertise with people leadership, process improvement, and a sharp understanding of construction execution in a complex, fast-moving environment.

We are accepting candidates across our hub offices of Boston, MA , Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL where you will be hybrid. You will report to the Director, Pre-Deployment. 

What you’ll do:  

  • Own and manage project schedules across the full lifecycle of distributed generation (DG), commercial & industrial (C&I) and Utility Scale solar portfolio, from development to final completion 
  • Provide clear portfolio-level reporting on schedule progress, budget alignment, and key performance metrics to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop a team of schedulers, setting expectations, coaching performance, and supporting growth.
  • Build and maintain integrated master schedules, identifying dependencies early and helping teams resolve conflicts before they impact delivery.
  • Standardize schedule templates, workflows, and data across tools and platforms to improve consistency, accuracy, and alignment with SOPs and KPIs.
  • Perform critical path analysis, identify risks, and provide reports and recommendations to optimize timelines and improve delivery outcomes. 
  • Identify inefficiencies and process gaps and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve scheduling practices, processes, and execution. 
  • Other tasks as needed by leadership team. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • 7+ years of relevant experience across project execution and data optimization in construction management. 
  • Prior experience in a renewables industry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of various areas of construction (civil construction, electrical construction, utility construction). 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of P6 Primavera.
  • Knowledge of Procore, Sigma, P6 interface or equivalent scheduling and construction management tools. 
  • Previous experience engaging and inspiring teams to excel while focusing on the growth and well-being of team members

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

Compensation 

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $150,000 - $170,000. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company’s stock option plan. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.

Skills Required
