The Impact you will have in this role:

DTCC is seeking an Associate Director, Release Train Engineer (RTE) to provide senior servant leadership and operational excellence for an Agile Release Train (ART). You will drive end-to-end program execution across multiple agile teams by leading PI Planning and key ART events, enabling dependency and risk management, and improving flow, predictability, and quality. As a strategic partner to Product, Engineering, Architecture, Risk, and Operations leaders, you will help shape ways of working, champion continuous improvement, and support delivery outcomes in a scaled agile environment.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and facilitate PI Planning end-to-end for the ART, including pre-PI readiness, stakeholder alignment, and post-PI execution follow-through.
  • Lead and evolve ART operating rhythms and ceremonies (e.g., Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, System Demo, Inspect & Adapt), ensuring decisions, actions, and outcomes are driven to closure.
  • Drive program-level visibility and governance across scope, commitments, dependencies, risks, and impediments; escalate effectively and enable timely decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Risk, and Operations to align priorities, manage trade-offs, and remove systemic blockers impacting delivery.
  • Improve flow and predictability through data-driven execution management (e.g., PI/iteration predictability, throughput/lead time, defect trends),  and actionable improvement plans.
  • Coach and develop Scrum Masters and agile leaders and help scale consistent agile practices across teams.
  • Lead Inspect & Adapt outcomes, including problem-solving workshops, improvement backlog creation, prioritization, and sustained follow-through.
  • Support transformation initiatives by identifying process bottlenecks, influencing cross-functional ways of working, and contributing to enterprise agile maturity.

**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above.**

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience enabling technology delivery in agile environments, including significant experience operating at program/ART level across multiple teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Demonstrated ownership of PI Planning facilitation and program execution (planning through outcomes), with a track record of improving predictability and delivery performance.
  • RTE training/experience leading an Agile Release Train, including ART-level ceremonies and PI Planning facilitation.
  • Experience facilitating Inspect & Adapt events, including problem-solving workshops and sustained improvement backlog follow-through.
  • Experience supporting large-scale agile transformations and/or operating model changes across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and drive resolution of cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and systemic impediments in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and servant leadership skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide decision-making without relying on authority.
  • Strong Jira experience including creating/maintaining boards, facilitating backlog/refinement hygiene, and using dashboards/reports to provide program-level visibility.
  • Experience coaching Scrum Masters/teams and driving continuous improvement
  • Background in financial services, risk, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience mentoring other delivery leads and/or leading an agile community of practice.
  • Relevant agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced CSM (A-CSM), SPC (SAFe Practice Consultant), PMI-ACP) are a plus.
