Airbnb’s public policy team aims to work closely with politicians, regulators, and legislators to educate them about Airbnb and the “sharing” or “collaborative” economy, highlight the significant social and economic impact our business has on local areas, and showcase best practices from around the world. We want policy makers to understand the regulatory challenges that affect our host community and find solutions that are good for cities and our thriving local communities.

We structure our work in local campaign groups, drawing on a wide range of tools and campaign disciplines - from detailed policy work, through high-impact partnerships, proactive media relations, community organizing, digital platforms and content, polling, and innovative data science and research.

The Difference You Will Make:

The Program Manager will support the priorities of the US & Canada Campaigns Director as they execute  strategy and initiatives in coordination with global and regional campaigns and cross functional partners. 

A Typical Day:

  • Partner with the US & Canada Campaign Director to drive strategy and analysis presentations, own deliverable tracking, and lead measurement and reporting of the priorities of the US & Canada policy team
  • Own the development and implementation of policy programs ensuring consistency and continuous improvement across all regions of the team 
  • Drive clear lines of communication between local campaign teams and global leadership, proactively surfacing risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with each campaign region to deliver regular reporting and tracking (e.g. weekly reports, strategic campaign plans, quarterly policy reports (QPRs) and to ensure campaign achievements and milestones are being properly recognized and communicated
  • Ensure individual projects and initiatives are executed according to strategic priorities
  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives requiring senior internal and external engagement and alignment, including with government stakeholders 
  • Identify operational roadblocks and bottlenecks – and best practices – making recommendations for process improvements that will increase campaigns’ efficiency across markets and regions
  • Develop and maintain a culture of collaboration and innovation among and between the global campaign teams.
  • Some administrative duties will be required including,  but not limited to, calendaring, preparing for meetings, assisting with anticipating and prioritizing of the day, scheduling travel, and processing expenses
  • Drafting presentations, reports and conducting research on housing topics, policy points of view papers, and performing ROI assessments:

Your Expertise:

  • Proven ability to independently lead and execute complex cross-functional programs with senior stakeholders, often without formal authority
  • 8+ years of relevant experience including US or Canadian political and/or policy campaign work. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills. Detail-oriented and process-driven - with an ability to drive clarity in complex environments
  • Expertise in strategy development with a demonstrated ability to connect high-level strategies to operational excellence and drive measurable outcomes
  • Thrives in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and tight deadlines, maintaining focus and sound judgment under pressure
  • A natural coalition-builder and collaborator - able to build and maintain strong working relationships with peers and external partners across diverse perspectives and competing interests
  • Able to distill ambiguous, complex problems into actionable plans and drive outcomes at a team and organizational level
  • First-rate communication skills - written and oral - in a wide range of formal and informal contexts
  • Familiarity with North American legislative and regulatory processes, including how policy is shaped through government affairs or engagement with external counsel and advocacy partners

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

$132,000$154,000 USD
