1. Position Purpose
- Lead the Ford Signature Design team to complete Dealership facilities within the International Market Group (IMG).
- The Ford Signature Program Manager will lead and develop the architectural discipline in design and technical competency, production efficiency, cost effectiveness and value-added service for the IMG Market & ensure implementation of Dealership CI programs across IMG, in-line with global facility standards.
- The Ford Signature Program Manager will collaborate with other group leaders to effectively allocate resources to deliver projects on time and within budget and support all quality related initiatives.
- The Ford Signature Program Manager will co-ordinate with the Ford Global Architectural Team for any updates/design changes that need to be implemented in the IMG region.
2. Key roles and responsibility of Position
- Develop and nurture the Dealership Design team to Build a cohesive and high performing group.
- Work closely with the markets (understand, develop relationships) to ensure an aligned “One Ford” approach to meeting business plan targets.
- Develop and execute a Dealer planning CI cycle plan that supports business plan objectives.
- Build a center of excellence for facility design standards proving value add support and insights (sales and service).
- Develop employee’s competencies; take an active role in employee career development. Document training needs and plan for development. Encourage and support licensing and on-going education.
- Conduct performance and salary reviews and handle all performance improvement situations professionally and promptly.
- Review and approve timecards, paid time-off requests, leave of absences, continuing education programs, etc.
- Understand different approaches to retail outlets across IMG markets (Mini3S/ Service lite) including various design and construction environments to ensure smooth implementation of IMG elements.
- Manage renovation projects and lead the implementation of the Ford Signature refresh program across IMG.
- Development of Used Car facilities standards.
- Work on various dealership special projects as required across all IMG markets.
- Work with IMG market leads and gain buy-in for the new Dealership CI standard for the implementation of the program across all new and existing facilities.
- Meet Fordland (Global Ford dealership design agency) requirements regarding design and construction standards.
- Ensure appropriate file management including photos, drawings and supporting material as report detailed project status on monthly basis as required.
- Review access and recommend revised design applications to meet local market standards that are aligned with CE and future Digital architecture both within and outside the dealership.
- Work with IMG market representation to ensure alignment with Market Representation recommendations and facility footprint size.
- Assist in developing and maintaining facility standards or design manual to cascade to all markets (Ford, dealers and local architects).
- Be responsible for the final sign-off of Design drawing package of dealerships sent to the Market for review and construction. In situations where a deviation from the standard design is requested by the market, a sign-off must be taken for from the Ford Global Design Director for the same.
- Provide any additional design management support as required by senior management.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Professional Registration – Council of Architecture (COA)
- LEED preferred
Experience:
- 15+ years related architecture experience with progressively more responsibilities including supervisory duties.
- Facility design and construction experience.
- 5+ years leadership experience.
