To join our Leuven HQ, Guardsquare is looking for a Program Manager to plan, set up and manage an integration programs for the company’s M&A activities and deliver other important strategic and operational projects and programs.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be a key enabler to Guardsquare’s future growth as the company is embarking on an ambitious M&A strategy and other initiatives to drive operational scale. 

The ideal candidate has familiarity with Belgium-based HQ operations and international environments. 


Responsibilities

  • Managing the overall delivery of post-acquisition programs from pre-deal to post-close, to achieve desired strategic goals, synergies and business benefits.
  • Definition of program scope, objectives and deliverables aligned with business strategy.
  • Developing comprehensive integration program plans by rolling up project and workstreams plans into an overall Integration Program Plan.
  • Setting up the integration PMO and supporting effective governance e.g. preparing detailed status reports to support effective decision making from senior stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinating and aligning cross-functional teams and supporting functional integration leaders to integrate people, processes, systems, of acquired companies.
  • Documenting and managing interdependencies and driving key milestone achievement 
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks and roadblocks, managing dependencies and resolving issues.
  • Stakeholder communication to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Managing budgets and adherence to financial controls and timelines. 
  • Synergy & Value Capture: Tracking and driving the realization of identified revenue and cost/operational efficiencies, and other M&A benefits.
  • Supporting other M&A activities, such as due diligence and transaction execution.
  • Delivering other strategic and operational projects and programs as directed.

Profile

Must-have

  • 5+ years experience in Post-Merger integration program management, including people, operations, processes and technology. 
  • A proven track record of working in programs across multiple teams with senior stakeholders and an ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings.
  • Strong project and program planning and management skills to assist functional leads to develop integration plans and ensure their execution. Experience in detailed integration planning with milestones, timelines, resources, and costs required to achieve deal specific value.
  • Practical operational mindset: you can balance structure with speed and avoid “process for process’ sake”.
  • Proven expertise in creating accurate and regular reporting and documentation.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills (in English), and the ability to work at a strategic level with senior stakeholders while also being hands-on.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience of delivering a variety of other strategic, operational and business transformation initiatives is a distinct advantage (ideally in B2B SaaS).

Other requirements

  • You recognize and appreciate the value of regular in-office presence to effectively deliver in this role.
  • You are open to travelling on a regular basis.

Work policy: We offer flexible (hybrid) working arrangements; however, the role requires the ability to be present in the Leuven office regularly to support collaboration and business priorities.
