Job Summary

The IT Program Manager runs demand and capacity management across the Nordic global enterprise to successfully drive IT initiatives. The candidate will manage and run global programs. This role collaborates with business leaders- to support demand prioritization and support broad change management efforts. Additionally, this role will help refine the program management processes and practices globally to best meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capacity planning and Manage program scope and demand for assigned projects
  • Work with business/operational leaders to determine organizational capacity and scheduling of customer initiatives
  • Provide Governance for Program Management operations and escalate needed actions as appropriate
  • Develop and publish a weekly program management plan and roadmap aligned to the customer scope and IT strategies
  • Produce requested updates to be briefed to the CIO detailing the status of global program management assignments with status, actions, and timelines. 
  • Align and schedule resources, in conjunction with the respective IT leaders with the required skills for projects, risk mitigation, and enable successful completion of projects
  • Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
  • Manage risks and provide recommendations to facilitate decision-making
  • Assist other departments in facilitating change management once projects become operational or are considered in maintenance mode, including evaluating and acting on issues or enhancement suggestions. 
  • Identify if change management is needed in advance of the go-live and take needed steps to facilitate. 
  • Develop and follow processes (e.g., prioritization, software development life cycle, change management, release cycles, etc) and utilize provided project management tools. 
  • Identify process opportunities and share them with leadership. 
  • Manage project budgets as defined by the project discovery and secured by the customer. 
  • Work on global projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and assist other corporate initiatives as necessary

Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in a related field or 11 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Master’s degree and 6 years of experience preferred
  • 5+ years of global IT project management experience involving multiple business units
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) membership is encouraged
  • Experience in Epic is desired
  • Knowledge of healthcare clinical and business operations, with emphasis on lab, radiology, and revenue cycle.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Track record of success driving waterfall and agile-based projects
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment 
  • Aptitude to acclimate quickly to new project assignments and adapt to new working environments
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, Visio and SharePoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to adapt communication styles and strategies to the audience
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Software Development Life Cycle experience
  • Software implementation and solution engineering experience required
  • Knowledge of budget management and financial processes
