Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead and manage global trade operations with a strong focus on Malaysia customs regulations. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders regarding customs compliance and trade operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless execution of import/export activities, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements across global trade functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Trade Operations Management
- Oversee and manage end-to-end global trade operations, including import/export processes, documentation, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and company policies.
- Customs Compliance (Malaysia Focus)
- Act as the subject matter expert on Malaysia customs regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary process updates to maintain compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the focal point for internal teams (Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Legal) and external partners (customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies).
- Provide guidance and support on customs and trade-related inquiries.
- Risk Management & Process Improvement
- Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize trade operations efficiency and reduce costs.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and present trade compliance reports and performance metrics to leadership.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in logistics or global trade operations and customs compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations and global trade requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP and trade compliance systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Certified International Trade Professional).
- Experience in managing global trade programs in a multinational environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
