We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead our team. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processing, develop and oversee payroll systems, and ensure compliance with relevant Philippine laws and company policies. They will work closely with internal stakeholders, address payroll inquiries and escalations, and maintain accurate records. The role demands strong leadership abilities to supervise and mentor team members. A comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, proficiency in payroll software management, and keen attention to detail are vital for success in this position
Roles and Responsibilities:
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end payroll management.
- Understanding factors in calculating final pay processing (leaves, accruals and tax deductions and etc.)
- Ensure payroll validation and checks are in place for accuracy.
- Checks and validate submitted, extracted timekeeping reports
- Validation of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and Annual Final Tax
- Knowledge and participation in validation of maternity and sickness benefits
- Ensures team members are updating necessary payroll spreadsheets and trackers
- Acquiring all necessary approvals to process payroll transactions including final pay and other company government mandated benefit.
- Represent and participate in internal and external payroll audits
- Other admin tasks given by the reporting line manager.
- Liaising with government agencies as required for payroll transactions
- Preparing reports for management and stakeholders
- Analyzing payroll trends for improvement can help optimize costs, enhance employee satisfaction, and streamline processes
- Collaborating between the HR and Finance departments can lead to better workforce management and streamlined financial operation
- Identifying improvements in the payroll process enhancing efficiency and reducing errors
- Managing payroll software and other related systems
- Resolving and addressing payroll discrepancies, queries and escalations
- Developing and implementing payroll policies procedures
- Collaborating effectively with payroll vendors and stakeholders is crucial for smooth operations and compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting, finance, business administration, or human resources.
- Typically 5+ years in payroll processing and management, including end-to-end payroll operations.
- Proven ability to supervise payroll teams and coordinate with other departments.
- Has experience supporting a span of 500 employees and above
- BPO work experience is an advantage
