Job Description Summary:

The Digital Program Manager will lead cross functional teams and technology investments that modernize the organization’s data ecosystem and elevate patient facing digital experiences. This role oversees data & analytics initiatives, enterprise data platform modernization, and AI driven capabilities that enable more personalized, proactive, and efficient care. The Digital Program Manager drives strategy, execution, and governance across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise digital health goals, regulatory requirements, and clinical/business outcomes.
Responsibilities include orchestrating complex roadmaps, managing budgets and resources, guiding technical and business stakeholders, and ensuring delivery excellence across cloud data platforms, advanced analytics, automation, AI models, and patient experience technologies.
*This is a hybrid position in Columbus, OH

Responsibilities And Duties:

65% Project Execution - Responsible for managing technology projects and/or programs running across one or multiple Lines of Business targeted at achieving overall business goals. They will be responsible projects from initiation through implementation including multiple software development methods. Establishes project requirements, priorities and deadlines. Manages budgets of the project, monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities:

Ensures project is completed in accordance with all Risk, Architecture and other relevant OhioHealth IS PMO guidelines 
Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects 
Manages budget for assigned projects, monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly 
Develops plans and manages interdependencies between development teams and business units 
Publishes project status and executive reporting 
20% Communication - Being able to articulate exactly what is needed in the project, is critical, alongside the ability to actively play a vital role as a Business Analyst to gather all of the information. We are looking for great communication skills and someone who can deal well ambiguity and is a self-starter, knows when to escalate when needed. 
15% Influence without Authority - Interacts with senior leadership and cross line of business resources to deliver projects and programs 
Coaches and mentors less experienced team members

  • Bachelor's Degree  
  • Field of Study: Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, HealthCare, Nursing or Related Field
  • Years of Experience: 5+ years demonstrated, progressive leadership and/or IT experience 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Five years in a project/program manager role or comparable work Experience PMI- focused project management training or comparable training Experience managing multiple medium to large scale IT projects simultaneously. 

Project management certification recommended (PMP, PgMP, or PfMP) ; otherwise, a plan for attainment OR a graduate level Degree Bachelor's Degree in IT, Healthcare, or Business Administration Eight years or more of IT project/program management experience in a healthcare setting.  ​

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong background in executing delivery across multiple methodologies (e.g., hybrid, iterative, or agile-aligned approaches)
  • Understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and integrations
  • 3+ years in Agile software development environments
  • Agile/Scrum certification(s)
  • 7+ years of program or portfolio-level delivery experience, preferably within healthcare IT or similarly complex environments
  • 8+ years of IT project/program management experience in a healthcare setting (or comparable domain complexity

Skills Required
