Within Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS), you will help define and develop the next generation of flight-critical controls and power systems, including fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, and advanced power management, for both commercial and military platforms.
Role Overview
The Program Manager is responsible for the customer-facing leadership and execution of a major commercial airborne energy-storage development program within the Power Systems business.
This role serves as the primary day-to-day business and program interface with Eve Air Mobility, integrating customer requirements, technical development, schedule, cost, supply chain, certification, and business commitments into a coherent program strategy and executable baseline.
The Program Manager works in close partnership with Market Leadership and Energy Storage Product Leadership. Market Leadership provides overall market, customer, and business direction; Product Leadership owns the underlying energy-storage product strategy, architecture, technology roadmap, and reuse. The Program Manager owns execution of the customer program and ensures that customer-specific commitments remain aligned with the broader product strategy.
Key Responsibilities

• Own overall program performance across scope, schedule, cost, risk, opportunity, customer commitments, and business objectives.

• Serve as the primary day-to-day program interface with the customer, building on a strong understanding of the customer's organization, aircraft development environment, priorities, and ways of working.

• Lead a cross-functional team spanning Engineering, Program Controls, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Safety, Finance, Contracts, and other functions.

• Partner closely with the Energy Storage Product Manager to align customer requirements and program decisions with the ESS product architecture, roadmap, qualification/certification strategy, and opportunities for reuse.

• Lead execution through evolving technical requirements, system integration, battery safety and thermal-runaway challenges, certification needs, and supply-chain constraints.

• Lead substantive customer discussions and negotiations involving requirements, scope, schedule, technical impacts, risk, cost, and program priorities.

• Maintain alignment between customer expectations, contractual commitments, technical maturity, product strategy, manufacturing readiness, and business objectives.

• Apply disciplined program-management practices including integrated scheduling, financial forecasting, risk and opportunity management, earned-value management, and change control.

• Identify emerging issues early, drive cross-functional decisions and escalation, and maintain clear accountability for resolution.

• Support follow-on opportunities and growth associated with the customer and program while maintaining clear accountability with Market and Product Leadership.
  What Success Looks Like
  Success means providing continuity and confidence for the customer while driving disciplined execution internally. The Program Manager will quickly establish ownership of the Eve relationship and program baseline, create clarity around technical and business priorities, and drive timely cross-functional decisions.
  Equally important, the Program Manager will build an effective partnership with Energy Storage Product Leadership-ensuring that the program delivers what Eve needs without allowing customer-specific execution to become the de facto product roadmap.
  The successful leader will bring enough technical depth in energy storage and battery safety to understand the implications of decisions, while relying on Engineering and Product Leadership for technical authority. Their job is to integrate those disciplines, make the trade space visible, drive decisions, and deliver the program successfully for both the customer and the business.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Significant program leadership experience in complex engineering-development programs involving multidisciplinary technical teams.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with aircraft OEM/customer environment, with the ability to rapidly establish credibility and effective working relationships.

• Demonstrated knowledge of airborne energy-storage systems, including battery-system development, integration, safety, and thermal-runaway considerations.

• Experience leading programs where technical maturity, requirements, certification needs, and customer priorities evolve during development.

• Strong understanding of integrated program baselines across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and customer commitments.

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead customer-facing discussions involving technical, programmatic, commercial, and contractual considerations.

• Experience integrating Engineering, Product Leadership, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Program Controls toward common program objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Program Management, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Ability to meet applicable U.S. government-contract requirements.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Direct experience supporting Eve aircraft or energy-storage development programs.

• Experience leading airborne high-voltage ESS development, system integration, qualification, or certification.

• Detailed working knowledge of battery safety, thermal propagation/runaway, containment, venting, and associated aircraft-level integration considerations.

• Experience with FAA, ANAC, EASA, or comparable certification environments.

• Experience transitioning complex technology from development through qualification, certification, industrialization, and production.

• Experience with international customers and geographically distributed teams.

• Experience with long-lead materials, constrained sources, supplier development, and complex ESS supply chains.

• PMP, advanced technical degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
