Position Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Management & Operations Support Specialist to support the Warfighter Acquisition University (WarU) Requirements & Curriculum Development (RCD) Directorate. The successful candidate will help translate leadership priorities into executable plans, coordinate cross functional initiatives, improve organizational processes, and ensure timely delivery of strategic objectives.


Essential Functions

  • Translate leadership priorities, strategic objectives, and operational guidance into actionable plans, tasks, milestones, and execution schedules. 
  • Supports program management activities by monitoring initiatives, tracking progress, identifying risks and issues, and preparing status updates, dashboards, and performance reports. 
  • Coordinates cross functional meetings, working groups, reviews, and leadership engagements, including developing agendas, briefing materials, meeting documentation, and follow up actions. 
  • Manages governance processes, including maintaining decision logs, action item trackers, workflow documentation, and program management records. 
  • Evaluates existing business processes and recommends improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accountability, and execution effectiveness. 
  • Develops, updates, and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), governance documentation, policies, directives, and internal guidance materials. 
  • Supports SharePoint administration and governance activities, including document management, version control, permissions management, and records compliance. 
  • Maintains program trackers for tasks, risks, issues, milestones, and deliverables while monitoring mitigation efforts and completion status. 
  • Prepares, reviews, and coordinates executive level communications, briefings, presentations, reports, and decision documents. 
  • Supports organizational planning and strategic coordination efforts by ensuring timely communication of priorities, decisions, and program updates among stakeholders. 
  • Performs administrative and operational support activities necessary to achieve program objectives and maintain effective organizational operations. 
  • Collaborates with government, contractor, and organizational stakeholders to support mission requirements and deliver timely, high quality program support. 
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Program Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting federal government or DoD program management, operations, or executive leadership.
  • Experience coordinating cross functional teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing executive briefings, reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and project management tools.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requirements in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Defense Acquisition University (DAU), WarU, or other DoD learning organizations.
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, process improvement methodologies, and organizational change management.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with records management and SharePoint governance best practices.
