The Program Finance Manager will oversee the financial management of multiple, complex programs, working closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams. As a mid-level leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Program Financial Analysts (PFAs), ensuring effective financial tracking, and providing strategic recommendations to ensure the success of programs. This role involves managing program budgets, schedules, forecasts, and providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management. You will also identify risks, capitalize on opportunities, and contribute to process improvements that drive financial performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
As the Program Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial management of multiple programs, including creating and managing budgets, schedules, and financial forecasts. You will collaborate closely with Program Managers and cross functional teams to ensure financial targets are met, providing insights and recommendations to optimize performance and address risks or opportunities. In this role, you will develop and present financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with program baselines and addressing any variances. You will lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Program Financial Analysts, guiding their work and ensuring their alignment with financial goals. Additionally, you will act as the primary liaison between the finance team and other departments, support new business proposals and contract renewals with financial input, and drive process improvements in financial tracking and reporting. Compliance with company policies, regulations, and audit requirements will also be a key part of your responsibilities, helping to maintain audit readiness and ensuring financial integrity.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management or analysis, including at least 2 years of experience leading or supervising financial teams or projects.
Skills:

Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills.

Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing a team of financial professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.

Experience: Prior experience in managing financial operations within a program management environment or working with multiple contract types.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with program management processes, financial compliance standards, and government contract requirements is preferred.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements in financial tracking and reporting.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
