Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Program Director / Senior Client Manager with prior waterfront experience in our Tampa, FL office to pursue, lead, and oversee local and regional waterfront projects.
As a key member of our team, you will lead and manage multidiscipline teams for a wide variety of projects, for both the public and private sector clients, including marinas, cruise and cargo facilities, island destinations, and waterfront revitalization projects in Florida and the Caribbean. As the successful new hire, your position will include a combination of business development, project / program management, and mentoring staff. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and teaming partners.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepares and leads projects pursuits / opportunities including positioning, team building, proposal writing, interviewing and contract negotiations
- Leads the delivery of large, complex technical waterfront projects/programs end-to-end, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics while ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Manages and oversees project financials, resources, and subconsultants, including forecasting, budget tracking, and optimizing allocation to meet delivery goals
- Identifies and mitigates risks, resolves issues, and provides clear, data-driven status reporting and executive-level communication on project health and milestones
- Builds and maintains relationships with existing and new clients as well as teaming partners
- Actively participates in initiatives to mentor existing staff and grow the team
- Collaborates with various teams within Moffatt & Nichol including the Water Practice and the Waterfronts Group
- Ensures project adherence to Moffatt & Nichol’s Quality Management System

Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in engineering field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in waterfront design and project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related
- Professional Engineer registration (PE) preferred
- Experience managing multidiscipline waterfront projects and developing business with clients
- Existing relationships with municipal and waterfront clients in the region
- Proven ability to mentor and train others
- Willingness and availability to travel for projects (domestic and international) on occasion
- Eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Working conditions:
Must be able to work outside, exposed to all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain. The wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, shoes, a safety vest and a hard hat will be required. Must have a passport or be able to travel internationally.
Physical requirements:
Majority of work is office based, however, some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment. Requires occasional travel.
