About the role

IIX is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to lead our work in Indonesia. This individual will be responsible for expanding IIX’s presence in Indonesia, overseeing the implementation of initiatives that support women-led enterprises and mobilize impact capital, and driving market development for impact investing and gender-lens financing in the country. The role will require strong leadership, business development acumen, and a deep understanding of the Indonesian sustainable finance ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Expansion:

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand IIX’s impact investment initiatives in Indonesia.

• Identify and establish key partnerships with investors, government agencies, financial institutions, and ecosystem players to enhance IIX’s presence.

• Represent IIX in high-level forums, stakeholder meetings, and policy discussions on sustainable finance and gender-lens investing.

• Drive business development efforts to create revenue-generating opportunities for IIX, including advisory services, financial products, and technical assistance programs.

2. Program Oversight:

• Lead the execution of initiatives that support women-led enterprises and mobilize impact capital in Indonesia.

• Ensure program objectives, deliverables, and impact outcomes are met, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor and report program progress, ensuring compliance with donor and IIX standards.

3. Investment & Market Development:

• Drive the structuring and launch of innovative financial products, including Orange Bonds, to mobilize capital for gender equality and climate action.

• Engage with investors, including regional and international stakeholders, to channel funding into high-impact enterprises.

• Work closely with enterprises to strengthen their investment readiness and access to financing.

• Develop and execute a business development strategy that translates into sustainable revenue streams for IIX’s work in Indonesia.

4. Partnerships & Business Development KPIs:

• Secure revenue-generating engagements, including advisory mandates, investment facilitation, and program funding.

• Establish and maintain high-value partnerships with new strategic partners, including investors, financial institutions, and development agencies.

• Drive market development by expanding IIX’s client base.

• Generate new business opportunities for IIX’s innovative finance solutions, ensuring financial sustainability and long-term growth.

5. Team Leadership & Operations:

• Build and lead a high-performing Indonesia team, providing strategic guidance and operational oversight.

• Manage financial and administrative aspects of IIX’s operations in Indonesia, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational policies.

Preferred Qualification & Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in impact investing, development finance, private sector development, or related fields.

• Strong understanding of Indonesia’s investment ecosystem, regulatory landscape, and sustainable finance initiatives.

• Proven experience in business development, revenue generation, and stakeholder engagement.

• Track record of securing advisory mandates, facilitating investments, and developing high-impact partnerships.

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.

• Hands on experience in preparing high-quality presentations using MS office

• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
