Job Description
The Program Delivery Team forms part of Cash Apps Strategy and Operations function, this function is tasked with building and operating the essential machines that enable Cash App to execute its strategy. As a Program Delivery Manager in the Banking Partnerships space you'll partner with senior leadership to lead one of our most complex and strategically important, cross-functional initiatives.
We're looking for leaders with world-class execution capability and high levels of resilience. Key to your success in this role will be your ability to quickly learn new environments, build strong relationships, develop execution methodology from the ground up, tackle problems at the highest levels, collaborate across all levels of the organization and confidently navigate our teams through major change

- Lead the execution of one of Cash Apps Strategic priorities, a highly complex implementation effort
- Define goals, objectives and success measures in partnership with SMEs and senior stakeholders
- Lead, plan, execute, control, and report across multiple internal terms and external teams
- Own the execution approach, defining and aligning the business to phases and milestones
- Partner directly, and where necessary lead, strategic banking partners to deliver in tandem
- Impact at the highest levels across the Block through exceptional execution leadership
- Build deep relationships, across teams and different levels of the organization
- Execute via parties across multiple disciplines including design, product, analytics, engineering, customer operations, counsel/compliance and finance
- Go deep and troubleshoot in the weeds, while also being able to operate strategically
- Maintain detailed plans to track the program and synthesize them to advise executive leadership
- Establish and lead executive governance processes
- Where necessary establish execution capabilities and lead teams
- Capacity plan across the program to ensure resources are appropriately prioritized and available
- Design and deliver the communications & change management strategy
- Lead and mentor product, engineering program teams across the organization
Qualifications
- You must have at least 12 years of program management, consulting, or equivalent experience in software development organizations, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Payments Expertise: You should have specific experience in the cards or payments ecosystem.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Experience managing relationships with partners and vendors is required.
- Customer and Partner Engagement: You must have experience working directly with customers and partners.
- Leadership in Complex Programs: A passion for leading high-profile, complex programs in a dynamic environment is essential.
- Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Your ability to manage stakeholders at all levels is crucial and just as important as your project management skills.
- Product Delivery Knowledge: A deep understanding of product delivery, including Agile methodologies, with examples of direct product partnerships, is necessary.
- Commercial Acumen: You must possess strong commercial insight.
- Executive Interaction: Experience working with and presenting to Executives is required.
- Resilience and Prioritization: Strong resilience and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential.
- Customer Commitment: A deep commitment to delivering positive outcomes for customers and a passion for shaping the future of Cash App is a must.
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These base salary ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone B: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone C: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
Zone D: USD $198,000 - USD $297,000
