Title: Program Coordinator (Steer)
Reports To: Program Manager
Hours: Full -Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Range: $17-$19 per hour
Description:
The Program Coordinator supports the daily operations, planning, and implementation of a prevention program. This role assists with coordinating program activities, events, and outreach efforts while helping ensure alignment with program goals and work plans. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager to track progress, support communication with partners and stakeholders, and help ensure prevention initiatives are implemented effectively and reach the communities they are intended to serve.
Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for implementing and supporting the delivery of the program’s evidence-based prevention curriculum in schools and community settings.

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling program activities, workshops, and educational sessions with partner organizations and community sites.

Responsible for conducting community outreach to increase awareness of prevention services and program opportunities.

Responsible for planning and implementing public service announcement (PSA) and prevention awareness campaigns.

Responsible for coordinating with community partners to organize training sessions, testing events, and prevention-related activities.

Responsible for maintaining communication with program partners, stakeholders, and community members to support collaboration and participation.

Responsible for tracking and documenting program activities, participation, and outcomes to support reporting and evaluation.

Responsible for collecting, entering and tracking data using program evaluation tools.

Responsible for supporting the development and distribution of educational materials and prevention resources.

Responsible for attending and participating in staff meetings, trainings, and community events, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Perform any other duties as assigned.
Valid driver’s license required. This position requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred;
• High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of college-level education is required.
Experience and Competencies:
• Intake and assessment experience is preferred;
• Bilingual is preferred;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion;
• Ability to work well in a team environment;
• Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality;
• Professional appearance and demeanor;
• Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served;
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required; and
• CPR Certification and First Aid Certification.
