Job Summary: Assists the Program Director with implementing program policies and
services to the program's clients. Responsible for maintaining program's records and reports. Answering phones in a professional manner and scheduling appointments. Assisting Program Director with general inquires.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Input data into HANAC data program and assist Program Director with DFTA STARS database input.
  • Interviewing clients for needs assessment (can be done by phone or in office).
  • Providing case assistance in acquiring and completing required forms and gathering verification information for as needed.
  • Follow up client's cases on regular basis to assure resolution of issues identified as well as identify possible new issues.
  • Attend required training, in-house or at other venues, to keep abreast of laws, regulations, services, and issues affecting defined clientele.
  • Maintaining case service log for documenting time, issues, and resolutions.
  • Computer entry of program required statistics.
  • Attending staff meetings with the Program Director.
  • Follow established on-site safety and emergency procedures.
  • Creating the monthly newsletter and emailing it to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral and written with ability to work with clients in crisis.
  • In absence of Program Director, assume supervisory duties.
  • Other tasks as may be required and needed.
 
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or higher and demonstrated experience working in social services.
  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented, responsible, reliable, professional, able to work as a team member, and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish or English/Greek) highly preferred.

Skills Required

  • Associate's Degree or higher and demonstrated experience working in social services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with clients in crisis.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, responsible, reliable, professional, and able to work as a team member to support a positive work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Ability to assume supervisory duties in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish or English/Greek).
