People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to join our Crisis/IRTS team at Huss Residence! The Program Coordinator is a vital point of contact for clients seeking and receiving services at our Crisis and IRTS programs. Program coordinators identify, address, and manage barriers to accessing mental health care, including assisting with obtaining health care insurance coverage, locating appropriate community-based mental health services, providing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, facilitating individual meetings, completing clear and timely documentation, and delivering and developing individualized treatment planning and discharge planning consistent with client goals and objectives.
Location: Huss (Crisis/IRTS) -2120 Park Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404
Starting Wage: $24.20 - $26.14/ Hourly, depending on qualification, and $1,000 hiring bonus to external candidates!
Schedule: Monday - Friday regular business hours

Main Job Duties:
- Use and model person-centered principles, actively engage clients in their mental health recovery, and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support clients in meeting their individual goals.
- Provide and model crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
- Coordination of services through the recognition of multiple needs of the client, including but not limited to benefits and federal/state identification with other providers in the community, and assisting with application processes to provide necessary resources to the client.
- Provide various skill-building, teaching, and/or coaching as it relates to the individual, including specific support with scheduling various medical or mental health appointments.
- Provide program orientation, verify, and complete necessary information for new client admissions.
- Coordinate services, meetings (treatment plan coordination,) set up telehealth visits with internal partners and provide updates to People Incorporated service providers in support of integration of care.
- Establish and post program schedule for each day and check staffing schedule daily and call staff for coverage as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field and proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields; OR has completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral science or a related field and:
- Has proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields; OR
- Has 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness; OR
- Has 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects; OR
- Is fluent in the non-English language of the cultural group to which 50% of the practitioner’s clients belong; OR
- Has a high school diploma and 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with:
- Mental illness; OR Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness, substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects; OR
- Is currently enrolled in a graduate-level behavioral sciences program at an accredited college or university and is formally assigned to the program for clinical training.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in behavioral science/related field with 4,000 hours of experience.
