The Role

Description

ThinkWell is a member of the FHI360-led consortium implementing the USAID Enhancing Quality of Healthcare Activity II (EQHA II) project (2024-2028) in Cambodia. ThinkWell’s role in the EQHA II project will be to support an initial in-depth analysis of the health quality governance landscape in Cambodia that will inform the co-development and collaborative implementation of resource allocation strategies designed to ensure the sustainability of Cambodia’s quality improvement and assurance (QI/QA) systems. Specifically, ThinkWell will provide direct support to the key Cambodian QA/QI institutions, including the Private Health Service Providers Association of Cambodia, the health professional councils, the Cambodia Healthcare Accreditation Commission, and the Ministry of Health (MOH) Quality Assurance Office to build capacity through the development of annual business plans and enhanced financial management practices that improve resource availability and allocative efficiency.

The Program Coordinator provides technical and logistical support, data collection and analysis, report preparation and assistance with project meetings and communications. The Coordinator reports to the Resource Optimization Specialist and is a non-supervisory individual contributor to the project team. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week.

EQHA-Specific Responsibilities

  • Participate in project activities and deliverables pursuant to project plans as assigned by the Resource Optimization Specialist.
  • Draft project correspondence as requested, including meeting agendas, notes from technical reviews, key informant interviews, and project workshops.
  • Organize and manage version control for project documents, including Excel workbooks, narrative reports, and PowerPoint slide decks, to facilitate team efficiency and accuracy and to ensure high-quality client deliverables.
  • Working closely with the other team members to support efficient filing organization for the team following ThinkWell information management policies, including maintaining shared folders to facilitate team efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of clear and effective communications to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support staff in editing documents and presentations as required. 

Administrative Support & Coordination

  • Coordination, logistical, and administrative tasks such as scheduling external meetings and workshops, data collection activities, administration of per diem and travel costs of external participants, coordination of travel logistics, and address other related needs as they arise.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth functions of operations.
  • Participate in the facilitation of logistics and communication: schedule, coordinate, assist and participate in meetings and events.
  • Review expense reports, advance requests, and any payment related requests and ensure they are accurate. 
  • Ensure payment requests and expense reports have all relevant supporting documents in compliance with donor requirements.
  • Assist the Resource Optimization Specialist in preparing and overseeing vendors and procurement processes aligned to ThinkWell’s organizational policies. Ensure timely submission of staff timesheets in Nexonia.
  • Coordinates contractual management, including maintaining tracking of invoicing and deliverables, receipts of required reports.

Requirements
  1. BS/BA and 3-4+ years experience or graduate degree and 2+ years experience 
  2. Extremely organized, conscientious, customer service and detail-oriented 
  3. Trustworthy and discreet with confidential information 
  4. Able to work independently and seek guidance as needed 
  5. Research, project management and health policy experience in an international NGO, research organization, academic institution, government, bilateral or multilateral development agency or consulting firm
  6. A systems thinker with a grounded, pragmatic understanding of the complexities of our work.
  7. Tech savvy and skilled at visual display of data.
  8. Demonstrated ability to complete tasks quickly, thoroughly and conscientiously with attention to detail and a responsive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  9. Strong customer service orientation: patience, listening, resourcefulness, responsiveness, and attention to detail 
  10. Fluent command of English and Khmer – written and spoken
  11. Ability and willingness to travel within Cambodia up to 25%

The salary range for this part-time position, working 3-days per week, is between $440.00 - $700.00 per month.
