Supports a specific initiative/program area(s) within the Children's Safety Center. The primary role of the Program Coordinator is to coordinate activities related to the work plan. Duties include coordinating and assisting with the creation and delivery of educational opportunities, including providing training for families and staff, facilitating meetings and agendas, researching information and data in preparation of reports or presentations, reaching out to individuals or groups to build relationships.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
- Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician training required within 3 months of hire.
- Requires a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, minimum liability insurance coverage and the ability to be insured by the CW auto insurance carrier.
Experience
-Requires 1 year of experience in program coordination or administrative support

- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills including the ability to develop reports and presentations.

- Working knowledge of Children's Strategy and ability to integrate it into programs and initiatives.
- Ability to resolve conflicts appropriately.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body fluids.
- Work schedule requires flexibility in order to handle changing demands.
- Statewide travel requiring transport of equipment and program delivery in a variety of settings.
- Work schedule will include weekend and evening hours as required. Hours of work may be inconsistent and are driven by community and hospital needs.
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge) in community health, public health, human services, social work, business management or other health related field.
Experience
- Previous experience working with a community health and/or injury prevention coalition highly desired.
Fluency in Spanish (both written and verbal) preferred.
