The Project Control Engineer will be responsible for supporting and managing project control activities across assigned projects, with a focus on cost control, schedule monitoring, forecasting, reporting, risk identification, and variance analysis.
The role will work closely with project managers, finance, planning, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure accurate project performance tracking, timely reporting, and effective decision-making. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with project controls tools, and the ability to maintain alignment between project execution, financial performance, and organizational standards
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
· Develop, maintain, and monitor project cost forecasts, budgets, schedules, and performance reports.
· Support the preparation and maintenance of project baselines, schedules, cost plans, and progress measurement systems.
· Track project performance against approved baselines, including cost, schedule, progress, risks, and key variances.
· Prepare periodic project status reports and dashboards for management review.
· Analyze cost and schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
· Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate budgets, forecasts, accruals, and financial reporting.
· Support cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete analysis.
· Prepare and deliver reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Primavera P6, SAP, and other project controls tools.
· Identify project risks, delays, and cost impacts, and support mitigation planning.
· Support change control processes, including assessment of cost and schedule impacts.
· Maintain accurate project records and documentation for audit and governance purposes.
· Ensure project control activities comply with internal policies, client requirements, and organizational standards.
· Promote project controls best practices across assigned projects.
QualificationsYou must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; Finance, Construction Management, or related disciplines may also be considered.
- 5–6 years of experience in project controls, cost control, planning, scheduling, or project performance management.
- Strong knowledge of cost forecasting, schedule forecasting, variance analysis, and project reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and SAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools.
- Good understanding of finance and accounting principles related to project management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
