PATH is home to the Malaria Control and Elimination Partnership in Africa (MACEPA), which works closely with National Malaria Control programs in Africa to strengthen data systems and data use to better inform strategies and targeting of resources to reduce malaria burden. Key components of this work include developing and/or strengthening leadership and management structures, tools, and processes; improving strategies and implementation approaches for community case management through malaria and other existing community health structures with government and local organizations; driving partner integration; introducing policy roadmaps to enable the introduction of new tools; and supporting the development of new funding proposals and business cases to expand in-country and external financial resources.
MACEPA seeks to recruit a Program Associate to provide essential programmatic and administrative support to the MACEPA Governance and Strategies and Community Case Management teams.
Responsibilities:

Assist with developing and monitoring project work plans and timelines, including coordination and tracking of activities across MACEPA geographies, key resource allocations, critical-path management, and parallel track planning to ensure milestones and deliverables are constantly defined and monitored.

Contribute to key deliverables by supporting desk reviews and information gathering to build and maintain country profiles.

Coordinate information sharing across MACEPA teams and partners, including providing regular updates to the RBM Partnership to End Malaria on the support MACEPA provides to countries.

Develop and maintain knowledge management systems to organize and maintain activity files including progress reports, deliverables, and presentations.

Work with MACEPA team members to coordinate and track the implementation of MACEPA’s gender framework.

Provide summaries and updates of work plan activities at relevant meetings.

Schedule and coordinate meetings among the team and with external partners, including drafting agendas and taking and distributing meeting notes.

Assist with coordinating the drafting, editing, proofreading and internal approval of a variety of documents including reports, presentations, deliverables, and manuscripts.

Provide administrative support to the Governance and Strategies team and backstop other administrative staff as needed.

Assist the team with entering travel requests and submit associated receipts for reimbursement.
Required skills and experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in public health, international studies, social science, gender studies or a related field plus three years of relevant experience in a professional office environment.

Experience in an international organization or in a multicultural environment, preferably with a health or development focus strongly preferred.

Excellent English and French written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple activities, deadlines, and priorities.

Ability to think creatively to help organize information, manage workflow, and improve systems and processes.

Knowledge of and interest in global health desirable

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Strong command of MS Office suite, especially Word and PowerPoint

Editing and proofreading skills in both English and French.
