Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
About the Program: Residential Treatment Program (STRTP): This short-term residential therapeutic program provides services to pregnant, parenting, and at-risk young women (and their children) ages 13-18 in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system. These youth are typically placed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or Probation Department.
Role Summary: The Program Assistant greets residents and visitors, insures only authorized persons move beyond the badge door and into the Residential area. This person answers and forwards phones calls, takes messages, checks out vehicles to staff, tracks electronic data and files. This person must be flexible and may cover other departments as needed.
- Schedule: (9/80 with a flex day)
- Sunday-Wednesday 1:00pm-10:30pm with a flex Thursday
- Work Location Requirement: Based on operational needs, employees may be assigned to work at either 155 N. Occidental Blvd or the I-STRTP location at 134 N. Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, located across the street. Flexibility to work at either site is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a pleasant environment in the badge door area for the residents, staff of visitors of St. Anne’s.
- Ensure proper sign in and out of residents’ community passes.
- Announce the evacuation of the building during fire alarms and direct emergency personnel in the event of a facility or individual emergency.
- Ensure only authorized residents, staff or guests move beyond the badge door.
- Fill in and answer the main switchboard phone and transfer calls to appropriate parties.
- Keep the Residential check-in area organized and presentable. Report items in the visiting rooms requiring cleaning or maintenance to appropriate person.
- Be familiar with fire panel, conducting fire drills and evacuating building.
- Actively direct emergency personnel in the event of a facility or individual emergency.
- As part of a multi-disciplinary team, maintain a structured residential program for residents through the administration of discipline and setting limits for behavior.
- Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, licensing, HIPPA, and other regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High school diploma.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook.
- Must have great customer service skills and a warm and friendly personality.
- Experience working a receptionist position, preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
