This position will be primarily responsible for developing and adapting 4AIR’s aviation sustainability program to assist customers with optimizing their 4AIR commitment. This will include integrating voluntary and regulatory compliance and reporting needs, ensuring full life cycle accounting for any program, assisting with client carbon footprints, sustainability documentation, regulatory and voluntary emissions reports, and staying aware of emerging best practices as well as regional differences. The successful candidate will be a vital member of a growing team, assisting with the decarbonization of aviation through comprehensive sustainability solutions.

Location:

Remote (Office space available in Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, New York City, and Scottsdale, AZ).

Key responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and help educate about our different program and services.
  • Act as a point of contact for identified prospects and explain our services.
  • Ensure customer deliverables and inquiries are addressed on time.
  • Prepare presentations and reporting templates.
  • Calculate carbon and other environmental footprints based on client information using company tools.
  • Assist with client onboarding, recurring sends, and Q&A; log actions and status in CRM/project tools.
  • Guide new strategic offerings and execute implementation to the industry.
  • Attend webinars, conferences and perform individual research to stay on top of emerging policy developments, grant opportunities, and be able to communicate summary notes and guidance about the impacts for our program to the company and customers.
  • Create education materials and guidance for customers to understand sustainability terms and concepts, best practices, evolving trends, policy, accounting guidance, etc.
  • Assist clients with data collection and calculation of their carbon footprints.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with outside customers and partners.
  • Attend key trade conferences to represent 4AIR and talk about program with potential and existing customers.
  • Support the development of new carbon and non-carbon reporting mechanisms and processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (VBA not required).
  • 1–4 years’ experience in aviation, sustainability, data/analytics, or customer support.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote, small-team environment.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented mindset; anticipates needs and follows through.

  • Bachelor or Masters in business, accounting, sustainability or related fields
  • Working knowledge of business aircraft industry, products, and services Flight data analytics understanding and familiarity
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in business, accounting, sustainability, aviation, or related field.
  • Pilot license or aviation operations exposure (nice to have, not required).
