Overview:

The Program Analyst is responsible for the systematic planning, analysis, and evaluation of government contracts within the J6 Program Management Office Support Services. This role plays a vital part in monitoring, measuring, and reporting on overall contractual requirements and performance metrics. The analyst delivers specialized expertise to facilitate the development of initial program assessments, design foundational initiative documents, and actively monitor ongoing program activities to ensure full compliance and successful mission execution.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, analyze, and systematically evaluate government contracts to ensure all milestones, deliverables, and requirements are met.
  • Monitor, measure, and generate comprehensive reports regarding overall contractual compliance, performance metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Deliver technical expertise to assist in the creation of initial program assessments and strategic initiative design documents.
  • Actively track and monitor J6 program activities, identifying potential risks, schedule variances, or performance gaps, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to create clear status updates, dashboards, and evaluation reports for PMO leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with government program managers, technical teams, and external vendors to facilitate smooth program execution and alignment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Program Management, Public Policy, Information Technology, or a related analytical field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in program analysis, contract evaluation, or project management support within a federal government procurement or DoD environment (specifically supporting J6 or similar IT program management offices).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of PMO methodologies, contract monitoring practices, and lifecycle management for government programs.
  • Proven skill in evaluating contract performance data, identifying trends, and developing structured initiative design documents.
  • Exceptional capability to draft clear, concise technical assessments, project plans, and executive-level performance reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, brief government clients, and maintain cross-functional team alignment.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and standard project management tracking tools.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certifications are advantageous but not required


Security Clearance: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals.
