Job Description

The Program Advisor position is tasked with moving students through our sales funnel to online application submission. The Program Advisor will work with all students who express interest in ISA & TEAN programs by helping them narrow down their program options based on the student's financial, academic, and extracurricular goals. They will utilize internal and external resources to properly advise students on protocols related to the specific needs of our host/home university partners and of those of ISA & TEAN. The Program Advisor will follow standards of best practices laid out by bodies that support education abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage inbound interest typically through phone, email, live chat, incomplete applications, and various information request forms
  • Leads will be provided to conduct outbound communication (typically phone and email) to Students to answer questions and offer program recommendations
  • Thoughtfully guide students through questions and scenarios to isolate and overcome objections leading them to an application for an ISA & TEAN program
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Regional Directors to identify students with specific needs or difficult situations, understand those needs, and work to find a better program option.
  • Share responsibility with Program Managers for any large phone/email campaigns
  • Provide occasional support for larger sales projects or initiatives as well as seasonal help with certain data entry projects.

Qualifications

  • Sales Background, not necessary but preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
  • Experience studying, researching, teaching, or doing service-learning abroad
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong understanding of the International Education field
  • Experience working on a U.S. college/university campus but not necessary
