As a Professional Services Category Sourcing Associate in Global Supplier Service, you will report to a Professional Services Sourcing Category Director and is responsible for supporting the development of long-term category sourcing strategy plans, along with the sourcing, contracting and execution for third party supplier spend across JPMC Lines of Business (LOB). The successful candidate will have the ability to develop relationships within the lines of business and liaise with stakeholders at various levels. They will be able to understand contract structures and negotiate key terms.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of multi-year category and supplier spend management strategies on a global, firm-wide level within assigned professional services categories to improve service quality, lower costs, and drive innovation
  • Support the management and refresh of preferred supplier programs and identify new qualified candidate suppliers capable of meeting JPMC requirements
  • Support the Professional Services Category Director in the management of global, firm-wide relationships with preferred and key professional services suppliers
  • Conduct in-depth cost and spend analysis to develop target savings and cost reduction initiatives
  • Carry out all in depth supplier due diligence as required
  • Work with stakeholders across JPMC lines of business to establish strategic priorities for assigned professional services categories and define requirements for sourcing transactions
  • Design and execute the competitive process for each sourcing transaction to obtain the best overall value-added solutions from candidate suppliers
  • Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers and develop and present sourcing options that meet JPMC's business requirements
  • Lead the negotiations to establish commercial terms and lead the contract develop process thru contract approval and execution
  • Maintain compliance with all policy and procedural guideline


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 5+ years experience with in a Category Sourcing function
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Ability to create and execute effective negotiation strategies
  • Ability to establish relationships with and influence stakeholders at all levels through verbal and written communications
  • Ability to analyse complex concepts and report back in simple terms
  • Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought out and can be executed from operationally
  • Demonstrated experience of effective time management with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures
