Due to recent growth, we are seeking a to hire a Professional Engineer (Civil) to join our team to assist in certifying documents and obtaining our contractors licenses.

Responsibilities:
- Act as PE for organization business licensing purposes
- Review civil plans
- Review testing reports and photo documentation
- Seal/Certify stormwater facility installation as-builts
- Seal/Certify stormwater maintenance reports
- Seal/Certify performance bond reduction applications
- Seal/Certify other civil related documents as needed
- Study and test for civil contractor license in numerous mid-Atlantic states with the possibility of more states in the future, on behalf of the company
- Attending pre-bid meetings on behalf of the company, as needed
- Submit bids in person on behalf of the company, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed P.E., huge if a P.E. in VA, DC and MD or willingness to become a P.E. in VA, MD and DC. Ideally have a P.E. (or willing to obtain) in all of the following states:
- DC
- MD
- VA
- WV
- PA
- NC
- DE
- Must be legal to work for any U.S. Employer (i.e., citizenship, green card holder etc.) No sponsorships will be offered for this full-time position.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in either civil design/engineering, transportation planning/engineering, geotechnical engineering or civil construction/materials testing, or some other design related discipline associated with land development or real estate development projects
- Basic understanding of or desire to learn the basics of how the land development design process works
- Experience in land development projects (to some capacity) is highly preferred.
